Sport has played a crucial role in my life for many years – even now as I head into my late 40s!

I played basketball from 13 to 26, participated in athletics in high school (where I was a good track athlete), and practised martial arts throughout my 30s.

Throughout my time in each of those sports, jump rope was always a crucial part of my training. It helped me improve my vertical jump, reaction time, speed, and conditioning, and was the foundation of my athleticism.

As I grew older, I reached a point where I wanted to share my knowledge and skills with others, so I became a qualified personal trainer (PT).

All PTs have an area of their trade which they really, really love, and mine was trying to learn as much as I could about how to fully integrate jump rope skills into athletic training for performance and resilience.

So, in 2016, I started developing a jump rope–based training style that combined strength, plyometrics, and calisthenics into one unique, complete system called ‘MaestroWorkout’. I quickly fell in love with it – and so did other people.

The system has evolved over the years, but one thing remains the same: my goal is to help people awaken their inner athlete and transform their fitness with just one tool – a rope!

When I’m not training 1-1 clients or leading group sessions, I’m passionate about obstacle course racing. It’s such a fun way to push myself to new limits.
